Evan & Lydia W. Jones

Our only information on Evan Jones at this point has not been confirmed.
However, an Evan R. Jones joined the 109th Regiment of Infantry in Binghamton, NY in 1862 for a 3 year stint. He served as a First lieutenant from August 1862 until January 1864, and then as Captain until June 1865 when he was discharged. He is listed in Volume IV of the Civil War set “New York in the War of Rebellion 1861-1865”.
We have not been able to confirm that this was our Evan Jones. While the dates would seem to match up well, his wife’s name appears to have been Sarah, whereas the title deed shows Evan & Lydia Jones.
